Tammy and George travelled all the way from the south coast to elope in beautiful Edinburgh.
Nobody knew. Not even their kids.
And it was epic!
Before the ceremony I did a pre-wedding shoot in their rented air bnb apartment, just on North Bridge and it was stunning. It suited the aesthetics of the day perfectly. A small apartment but with a hidden bedroom behind a gorgeous teal bookcase. This was my kind of apartment.
Tammy had seen some images online she liked and wanted to use as inspiration for their own. So, before they flew up, they despatched to me a large frame and print which I took into them the day before. They had a style and composition in mind using this print and after moving a few bits of furniture about, we nailed it. Well, 3M’d it to the wall
The apartment was perfect for all the detail shots and really complimented all their accessories beautifully.
Tammy wore an incredible floral crown with complimenting bouquet from Snapdragon, a local florist in Edinburgh however her amazing green jumpsuit stole the show, completely and utterly (sorry George!)
It was just lush against Tammys red hair and red lips. Such a breath of fresh air having such a bold and modern bride, I knew the day would be one of the best!
After finishing getting ready a bit more, we wandered up the Royal Mile to the City Chambers (Alexander Suite) for the cermony. As they had no witnesses with them, being a surprise and all, my good friends stepped in, Sharon and Hannah (thank you guys!!)
It was a lovely ceremony and the vows were that of which Ive never experienced before. Highly moving and emotional and written so beautifully and thoughfully. It’s the first time Ive seen a Registrar with shall we say, leaky eyes before and Im not sure there was a dry eye in the room that day.
For their portraits I took Tammy and George in and around the neuks and closes of The Royal Mile, down to the Grassmarket and back up to Hunters Square for some fizz. Everywhere we went, Tammy and George got so many compliments about how amazing they looked. I think Edinburgh suited them with its quirky and bijoux shops.
Following our walk about toon we met back up with Sharon and Hannah for some fizz and entertainment on Hunter Square. Banter was had and boomerangs were filmed!
What a glorious wedding! Im thrilled Tammy and George chose Edinburgh for their elopement and the Highlands for their honeymoon in their cute little camper van!
Congratulations again guys and thank you for having me along to be part of such a wonderful day!
